Hello everyone!
These past two weeks kindergarten have been busy getting ready for sports day. With this in mind KG1B have be practising exercising and getting active! We’ve started by exploring our stretching ablitys and building on our hand eye coordination skills! We had a lot of fun and were very impressed! KG1B loved doing gymnastics and have added it to our weekly P.E sessions.
Take a peek
KG1B have been exploring different animals in their English unit this week. We have been looking animals under the sea and exploring their habitats. We liked dolphins because they breath just like us. We enjoyed watching them dance and play and talked about how much fun it would be to swim with them.
Phonics class was exciting this week because we explored the letter K! We were able to make our own kites and practise trying to fly them in the class room! So much fun!
K is for Kite!
We talked a little this week about jobs we know. And had a chance to explore different professions. Danish wants to be a police officer! So we asked our friends To let him try a real police hat! He was delighted!
We practised tracing in the sand and built on our hand eye coordination by moulding animals in the sand 🙂 KG1B love the sand pit!
Math has been different this week! KG1B have started a new book from cavendish education! Now we have started learning how to spot the object that is not the same by matching and colouring the objects that are. We have started to use counters/play dough/ and blocks to count objects and recognise that we can use numbers to count objects. We can answer how many? And recognise re differences in the group sizes
Well done kG1B! We are very proud!
Not forgetting! This week we celebrated our student of the month! Danial was KG1B’s student of the month for December! His energetic personality and positive attitude to sharing is a great influence on the other students.
Metin is KG1B’s student of the month for January!
Metin has shown us how to be well behaved all the time! Metin lines up when asked! Completes his book work. Participates in class. Stays motivated and loves sharing and talking in English! Metin is our role model student and it was an easy choice for us to make him student of the month! We are extremely proud of Metin and his maturity! Well done Metin!
See you next week for a fantastic sports day!
Have a magical weekend!!!
We look forward to seeing all out parents at sports day on Thursday!
