KG 1B weeks 4 and 5.
With sports day done an dusted we were all exhausted and happy to get on back to our daily routines. Well done green team!!!!! And everyone who got involved!
The introduction of the new play room has gone down a treat! KG1 love it! We were excited to play puzzles, math solving and stack games! We often go in here after our afternoon nap. It wakes us up and prepares us for our afternoon learning time.
Having settled back in to our old routine kg1b is back on track and learning with bright eyes. We have explored animals and their habitats and move on to a new English topic this week “clothes for all weather”. We all did an excellent job with our last unit and we hope this one will be just as fun!
Last week we explored the sounds of the letter M and made our very own monsters from paper plates! We were very excited about this art project. a
This week we have been busy with the letter N. Trying new activities to help us remember the sound and shape of the letter N. Tracing with our fingers, building our letters from blocks, making bird nests, and playing sorting games to aide our understanding of the capital and lower case letters! Wow! It’s been busy!
Letter shape recognition
Capital and lower case comprehension
We have even tried our hands at cooking this week! We melted chocolate and mixed it with cornflakes to make cornflake cakes! We then added MnM’s to the mix to make our creations look like bird nests and eggs! Of course this was to go with our letter N theme. We are sure to be trying something else next week for the letter O 🙂
KG1b have had a fantastic few weeks and would love to wish everyone a happy Chinese New Year!
We hope you enjoyed our yummy cakes. See you next week!
